Musculoskeletal conditions

Musculoskeletal conditions have undoubtedly received the most press for being effectively treated with traditional Chinese medicine and massage.  If you ask most people what acupuncture or body work are used for they will say pain.  At the Wege institute in Saint Mary’s Hospital we see many pain cases a week.  Acupuncture is oftentimes utilized to help a patient reduce or eliminate altogether, their pain medication and give them the tools to effectively regain a pain free lifestyle.  Therapeutic massage can be used as a stand alone treatment for these conditions or as a conjunctive therapy along side with acupuncture and physical therapy to produce a synergistic effect.
